In the past, as a certified sports field manager I have been involved in providing sports field educational sessions at many field days, turf expositions and college seminars directed toward both turf and infield management. As a sports field manager, I am able to bring my experience in both turf and baseball /softball infield reconstruction and management to the classroom.
A common concern for many is that a great deal of time and energy is given to providing information that is not always applicable to every attendee. Many attendees attend a full day of classes just to be involved with one particular topic of interest to them. With budgetary cutbacks it is typically not practical to send entire crews to these functions. Many times, certain topics are beyond the scope of the attendee and directed to levels of maintenance that are for many reasons unattainable.
On occasion, attendees have site specific problems not identified by generalized information. Why learn about XYZ Stadium if it doesn't apply to your specific facility.
For these reasons, I am offering personalized in-house sports field workshops & classroom seminars for towns, municipalities, private leagues and organizations. The topics are selected by you, based on the needs of your particular facilities, designed to address sight specific problems
Workshops can be hands on, designed to not only educate your personnel but also to make the necessary repairs on your fields at the same time. Your equipment or our equipment can be utilized as necessary.
Take advantage of reduced winter rates to provide a classroom setting, PowerPoint seminar designed around your facilities. Bad weather, no problem, just reschedule. Don't miss out on valuable information.
A few of the topics that may be of interest include:
Infield Topics
Home plate and mound repair: installing clay bricks
Effective grooming technique
